Virtual Touch is the world’s first fully contactless touch solution, using a 3D camera and AI-powered deep learning to analyze user movements, accurately detect pointing gestures, and allow for precise, simultaneous selection. One of the key products utilizing this technology is the virtual touch panel.

For contactless touch technology to function accurately, the camera must be embedded within the device, with careful consideration given to angle and distance. COG Design Studio collaborated on the development by researching forms that accommodate these technical requirements, while also incorporating iconic shapes and visual appeal into the design.

The product’s side profile, reminiscent of the capital letter “I,” offers both an aesthetically balanced silhouette and an ideal form for setting the correct angles and distances required for vision-based touch functionality in kiosk applications.
